Travel: Food while in Korea and Bangkok
Salam, travel enthusiasts
In this entry, I shall share some photos of international cuisine. In Seoul and Bangkok. Both, being Asian countries, have rice as their staple food. In every main meal there will always be rice. Savour the pictures

“O ye who believe! Eat of the good things wherewith We have provided you, and render thanks to Allah if it is (indeed) He Whom ye worship.”
Al-Qur’an, Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat 172.
Korean vegetarian lunch consisting of soyabean strips, cucumber, enoki muchrooms, beansprouts, lettuce. The side dish includes seaweed, which I love very much. Don’t forget the kimchi (the reddish looking stuff in the bowl)! Kimchi is a must in Korean cuisine. Made from cabbage and preserved.
Kimchi takes the lead in this vegetarian meal. There are 2 variations in this meal. There is also potato salad, anchovies and 2 types of seaweed. And fried beancurd too.
Seafood dinner is wholesome and delicious. This was had near the coast. So the seafood is really sweet and fresh. Clam, octopus, prawns. And of course, seaweed. And more seaweed!!!
Bibimbap (Korean claypot rice)
Rice, condiments and a raw egg in the really hot clay bowl. Stir quickly and there you have it! Freshly prepared. Sizzle sounds included.
Green Tea Latte made with soyabean milk. Verdict: Out of this world. Creamy, soothing, delicious.
I love it!
Ain’t the packaging simply simple yet adorable??
In Bangkok
Green Tea & Vanilla ice cream in Mah Boon Krong centre (MBK) in downtown Bangkok
Delicious yet very affordable
Clockwise from left: Tom Yam noodle, Tom Yam soup and rice and Beef fried rice. The rice is hidden beneath the mountainous portions of beef, egg, ginger, shallots, spring onions, cili padi and cucumbers. Verdict: Simply divine. At a Thai food restaurant in Pratunam, owned by Lebanese Muslims. It is called Al-Maedah restaurant. Rather pricey in Thai standards, BUT worth every baht as the food served is wholesome, generous portion and fresh!
